Vasanth Rajasekaran

Vasanth is an accomplished arguing counsel having more than 20 years of experience of successfully representing his clients before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, High Courts and Tribunals. He specialises in litigation and arbitration relating to complex corporate commercial transactions, infrastructure disputes, white collar crimes, general civil and criminal litigation, tender disputes and anti-trust matters. In the criminal litigation space he has wide experience in matters relating to money laundering, corruption, economic offences and corporate fraud and has argued and appeared before various enforcement agencies, tribunals and courts.

He has been successfully representing many Fortune 100 companies and domestic clients in several high-stake arbitration proceedings under ICA, LCIA, ICC and SIAC rules of Arbitration and also represented them in enforcement and execution proceedings before the High Courts and Supreme Court of India.

He has been regularly advising many foreign OEM's in the Aerospace, Aviation and Defence sectors on legal issues arising out of Defence Acquisition Procedure, Defence Procurement Procedure, Offset Policy, Arms Act, Strategic Partnership/Make In India projects etc.

Apart from the above, in the Projects/Procurement space he has been assisting many multinational companies in many prestigious Infrastructure and Urban Development Projects including airports, railways and water sector.

Vasanth has acted for Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in drafting the ‘Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Bill, 2012 and also been the nominated as a member of core committee of sub-ordinate legislation under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 set-up by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
